This program matches exceptional KU juniors and seniors with entertainment professionals working in one of their areas of interest. The student receives personal advice regarding internships, jobs, contacts, etc. Please know that since the majority of Hollywood Hawks don’t live in Lawrence, your communication will be mostly via email. This program is open to all KU students preparing for a job in film, television, theatre or music, regardless of their current major.
To apply to be a mentee, please e-mail the following materials to Maria Skeels at mentorships@hollywoodhawks.com with the heading “MENTORSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION”:

3) A 500-word essay answering the following questions:
- What do you want to do in the entertainment industry?
- Why does this area interest you so much?
- What questions do you have about your future career?
- Where do you hope to work professionally?
- How have you been preparing yourself for your post- graduate, professional life (personal projects, involvement with organizations, specific classes, etc.)?
- What or who has inspired you to pursue a career in entertainment industry?
